SAFC Academy Youth Club Partnership

Why do we want to develop this relationship?

Recent research has revealed 10,000 young players were registered with professional club academies / centre of excellence last season. The Questions are:

• Will all these players become professional footballers?
• Will some be released at a very young age?

With this in mind SAFC Academy have decided to re – structure the way we work with the younger age groups at U7 to U11.
SAFC Academy wants to have a positive effect on these young children.

So how will we achieve this?

• To identify “grass- roots” clubs who have a good reputation for developing youth players and promoting a positive lifestyle.
